Iris bloom in the late Spring - late May and early June - here in Utah. They have been popular forever and are considered by some to be old-fashioned. I think they are excellent in any garden. They are big, colorful and fragrant. An added bonus is the fact that they are waterwise! They don't require any extra water in Spring or Fall and only some water once a week during the hottest parts of summer. They spread slowly and are easily divided and shared with gardening friends. They do best in full sun.
