Now is the time to put out an APB for the dreaded squash bugs. All units respond! They are very destructive to squash plants. They will lay eggs on the undersides of the leaves and they will kill the plants. If you see them - they look like flat, grey insects, varying in size from a millimeter to an inch in length - hand pick them into a jar and put them in the garbage. Also, look for their eggs and remove them from the leaves. The eggs look like this:
