Echinacea purpurea - Another Favorite Waterwise Perennial!
Purple Coneflower - Echinacea purpurea - is one of the best heat-tollerant/drought-tollerant plants available. It can go 10 days or 2 weeks between waterings during the heat of summer. With deadheading, it will bloom all summer and right up until the first frost. It's happy flowers attract bees and butterflies! It is native to the Midwest but it does very well in Utah.
