Now is the time to plant raspberry starts! They do well in Utah and they are available in local garden centers. There is nothing better than harvesting fresh raspberries in the summer! Raspberries are perennial which means they will come back every year. Here is a link to a great
article about how to grow raspberries in Utah written by Larry Sagers. Sadly, he is gone. But his expertise lives on via his many wonderful articles available on the web.
Remember that raspberries spread. They will send their root systems beyond the area where you plant them. So choose a place where you don't mind if this happens. Or make sure you install an underground barrier to keep them from spreading if you don't want them to. The barrier should be deep - maybe 12 or 16 inches. Maybe more!
