When Should I Plant Lettuce In Utah?
Lettuce is a cool season vegetable. It is easy to grow from seed and there are many varieties to choose from: green leaf, red leaf, romaine, etc. The local garden centers have all kinds of seeds and starts available in the spring - April is the time to plant lettuce seeds. After you harvest lettuce in late spring and summer, you can plant another late-summer and fall crop. Home-grown lettuce is easy, convenient and delicious and a heckuvalot cheaper that grocery store lettuce!
